This program is designed to teach students the art and science of beautifying the nails, hands and feet and to give proper massage and to use safety precautions and sanitiation methods in manicuring, pedicuring and extending the nails. The students will become skilled at using professional manicuring implements, chemicals, supplies, nail drills and the use of light cured gels. Techniques will be learned in identifying nail diseases, the basic type of artifical nails and nail extensions. Students will also be taught to adhere to the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness in maintaining equipment and the environment of the salon. At the completion of this program, graduates will qualify to apply for state certification and employment in the beauty industry.
