OBJECTIVE
This program is designed to teach students the art and science of
beautifying the nails, hands, and feet; to give a proper massage; and to
use safety precautions and sanitation methods in manicuring, pedicuring,
and extending the nails.
The students will
become skilled at using professional manicuring implements, chemicals,
supplies, nail drills, and the use of light cured gels. Techniques will
be learned in identifying nail diseases, the basic type of artificial
nails, and nail extensions. Students will also be taught the highest
standards of sanitation and cleanliness in maintaining equipment and the
environment of the salon.
At the completion of
this program, graduates will qualify to apply for state registration and
employment in the beauty industry. A diploma will be awarded upon
graduation from the program.
